The annual Psychiatry Residents Retreat will be Tuesday Sept 15 at the UTD Center for Brain Health. The Center for Brain Health is located next to Exchange Park, at Forest Park & Mockingbird. It's an award-winning building full of lots of cool modern art. And free parking. More info here: www.brainhealth.utdallas.edu
The theme this year is stress relief and taking care of ourselves as well as our patients. Who doesn't need that, right? Our invited speakers are Dr. Thornton (who we all know and love) and Dr. Marty Lumpkin, who is well known among the psychology faculty as an expert in relaxation and mindfulness.
Attendance is mandatory. You are excused from all of your clinical duties, but if you don't come to the retreat, you must go to your clinical site or take a vacation day.
