The Mid-City Rapid Bus project includes the design and implementation of a ten-mile, high-speed, limited-stop service between SDSU and Downtown San Diego along El Cajon and Park Boulevards. The line will provide North Park, City Heights, and College area residents with a limited-stop, high-speed service in one of the key transit corridors in the region.
New features will include:
- dedicated transit lanes
- elevated bus stops (for level boarding)
- prepaid fares
- coordinated traffic light timing
- new landscaped medians
This open house will give us a chance to drop-by, look at plans and talk to project designers.
I figured this might be ineteresting since it will affect our community... and we may even find the new route useful.
Just meet there at 6pm. I figure we'll be there for a half-hour or so.
