Family and Friends,
I'm happy to announce this month we're revisiting a past favorite for good food, good service, good music and good times! Come join us as we celebrate over the Thanksgiving weekend with some Asian flavor! We will be meeting at:
THE LUCKY BUDDHA!
Located on Cary Street in Shockoe Bottom, Lucky Buddha offers a Sushi Lounge & Bistro featuring signature noodle bowls, fresh seafood, and great
stir-frys. They also have a separate bar that they are prepared to open for us as an overflow, as I did warn them that we tend to run a bar over! They have a new menu as well, so check that out at their website listed above.
They are offering $3 rail and $2 domestic bottles as a special until 9:00PM, so even in today's economic crunch, you can get out with a reasonable tab!
So you are aware:
The Buddha has a dress code that goes into effect at 9:00PM. I
sincerely don't think our crowd would need to worry about any of these
things, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention this to you. Their
dress code prohibits the wearing of: plain tee shirts, work boots,
hats/rags, overly baggy clothing, hoodies, exposed chains/sunglasses,
shorts longer than your knees, jean shorts, sweat pants, sweat shirts,
athletic jerseys, or shirts extending below the pockets of your pants.
And, as I said last time, please only bring good karma to the Buddha, as she doesn't like attitude...
Please make every attempt to respond by the end of day on Wednesday, November 25th to ensure good service and proper stocking and staffing.
For those of you not familiar with this monthly recurring event, it is
designed as an opportunity for members and friends of the Richmond GLBT
Community to get together on the fourth Friday of the month, relax,
have a few drinks, catch up with old friends, make new ones, and grab a
bite to eat.
Please extend this invitation to anybody you know who might be interested but is not included on this list by utilizing the 'Invite More People' link on this page. Feel free to email me at cruise-director@sillyqueer.com with any questions, comments, or recommendations you may have.
For more information regarding the goingson within the Richmond GLBT Community, please check out the GLBT Events Calendar at sites.google.com/site/richmondglbtcalend ar/.
You can find fun stuff to do, great ways to support the local GLBT
Community, and submit events for publicity within the Community there.
I hope everyone is able to join us. If not this month, then in months to come!
