The panel included successful, talented architects and construction pros who were able too see the light throughout the downturn. Interestingly, they spoke about the downturn and their response to it, in the past tense. Either it's easier to talk about the painful parts that way, or it's over. Either way, the most important idea - try something different!

A panel of seasoned experts in our field will discuss how they and their firms have adjusted to economic downturns, past and present. Tough times often call for tough decisions from architectural firms and affiliated companies, and many architects find themselves in a forced state of transition as a result. Find out how others have dealt with issues common to those in the field.

Panel participants include:

Greg Wiedemann,
Principal, Wiedemann Architects

Yolanda Cole,
Principal, Hickok Cole Architects

John Spears, President,
Sustainable Design Group, a design/build firm specializing in sustainable
building and in promoting sustainable communities

Joe Bohm, Principal,
Horizon Builders, an award-winning builder of architect-designed homes

Moderator: Paul Klee,
Principal, Grimm + Parker Architects

I would love to come but I teach a class on T/R evenings. It sounds good. Maybe I can sneak out?
