Dale, Sherry and Shauna will be hosting a Maker Faire Detroit Community Planning Meeting on Wednesday, March 10th at The Detroit Public Library (Main Branch) and would like to invite you to attend. In addition to providing updates on the event, our goal is to continue to generate ideas, form working groups and continue to connect with people and organizations that would be interested in bringing Maker Faire to Detroit.

If there are others that you know that would like to get involved, please feel free to invite them too. This event is open to the public and we would love to connect with people, groups and organizations that should be involved with Maker Faire. Feel free to spread the word and invite interested parties.

If you have attended a Maker Faire Community Meeting in the past, and want to talk about specifics of your curated area, we will have our Maker Faire team onsite to work with you. Otherwise, we look forward to receiving your submission to the Maker Faire Detroit "Call for Makers" which will go live on March 18th, 2010 at www.makerfaire.com

Free public parking is available on Tuesday and Wednesday after 5:30 and all day Saturday in our parking lot on Putnam (between Cass and Woodward).

Heading Southbound I-75 (Chrysler)
Take the Warren exit, turn right and travel west on Warren to Woodward. Turn right at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Heading Northbound I-75 (Chrysler)
Take the Warren exit, turn left and travel west on Warren to Woodward. Turn right at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Heading Southbound US 10 (Lodge)
Take the Forest/Warren exit, turn left and travel east on Forest to Woodward. Turn left at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Heading Northbound US 10 (Lodge)
Take the Forest/Warren exit, turn right and travel east on Forest to Woodward. Turn left at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Heading Westbound I-94 (Ford)
Take the Woodward exit. Stay on the service drive and turn left at Woodward. Travel south on Woodward approximately ½ mile. DPL will be on the right.

Heading Eastbound I-94 (Ford)
Take the Woodward/John R exit. Turn right at John R and travel south to Warren. Turn right at Warren and travel west to Woodward. Turn right at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Heading Eastbound or Westbound I-96 (Jeffries)
Take I-96 to eastbound I-94. Take the Woodward/John R exit. Turn right at John R and travel south to Warren. Turn right at Warren and travel west to Woodward. Turn right at Woodward. DPL is one block north of Warren on the left.

Detroit - Windsor Tunnel
Travel east on Jefferson Ave. to I-375. Travel north on I-375 and follow instructions for northbound I-75.
