I am so sorry I couldn't be at the memorial...I was sick in bed for 3 days then. I did send in a memorial contribution. Ralph was the heart and soul of Driftwood. Really SICK at not being there to honor him.

What can anyone say about Sunday ! It truly was a remarkable day, one that I feel no one really knew how it would develop, yet, at the same time, knew that it would just work out fine, and that it did. It was a Celebration of His Life, and what He has left us. I am sure that Ralph was smiling at us all down in The Theatre, as he was up there, wondering what all the fuss was about, yet, at the same time, extremely proud of Judy and Family in the organizing of this event. Every person there made a contribution one way or another, and I would like to say that Dutch, as Master of Ceremonies, 'framed' it altogether, and so made it just flow as a Show, with the Acts, Scenes and Stars. Also, what a wonderful DVD was put together to show us what Ralph was like as a child and a young man, pictures that I feel many of us have never seen, so a special Thank You to Thia for that. Ralph's Legacy will live on in many many ways, and I know for a fact, that I will always feel his 'Presence' there at The Wade James Theatre, that was his second home for sure. He will truly be missed by all. Blessings to you Judy and to his Family. Thank You once again, for a truly remarkable event. Oksana and Rob.

Ralph Eaton: A Celebration of His Life

Ralph was many things to many people. And none more important than being a loving husband, father and friend to his family.

For Driftwood he was THE cornerstone of the volunteer group, Tech Director, Past President, Master Carpenter, representative to regional and national theater organizations, long-time member, liaison to the City of Edmonds, mentor, teacher, confidant, peacemaker, to name but a few. And last but not least, Ralph was our friend and just a great guy.

Because of his great love for our little theater, you are invited to join in celebrating Ralph’s life on Sunday, November 22 at the Wade James theater, from 11 to 3.

Nothing stuffy: just come and share friendship, laughter, and good cheer. Share stories, pictures, music, anecdotes, songs, poetry, perhaps a few words of remembrance, etc. etc. If you are planning that, please contact dutch.heetbrink@driftwoodplayers.com.

In lieu of flowers, Judy Anne has requested donations to The Driftwood Players Ralph Eaton Memorial Fund, the proceeds of which will benefit a technical theater scholarship in Ralph's honor.

Brunch will be served from 11-12. Feel free to bring food to share.

If you have photo's that include Ralph, we would appreciate if you could share them with us for the creation of a Memorial slide show. You may email your pictures to Syrinda at slynx@aol.com or you may drop them off at the Driftwood office for scanning.

Lastly, please pass this invitation on to others who knew Ralph and/or help them register.
