Join the United Way Young Leaders Society on Thursday May 28 at 6 p.m. for a discussion on the role of the FBI’s branch office in El Paso and the border region. The event will be hosted inside the El Paso Chamber of Commerce located Downtown at 10 Civic Center Plaza.
Our guest will be FBI Special Agent Sam Camargo, who serves as liaison between the FBI in El Paso and the Mexican government. Special Agent Camargo is extremely knowledgeable on the ongoing drug-related violence that is gripping our sister city, and he will speak on how that violence is having ripple effects throughout the Borderland.
This will be a very engaging leadership event. The FBI serves an important function in our region’s justice system, from its constant vigilance of Mexico’s drug war to its investigation into alleged public corruption. If you have ever had any questions about the FBI’s work, this is the event to attend.
There will be light food and beverages provided for the evening. YLS members are asked to pay $5 admission, and non-members will be charged $10 for the event. Admission will be collected at the door.
The El Paso Chamber of Commerce is located in Downtown El Paso, adjacent to City Hall and the El Paso Convention Center, and is easily accessible from all areas of town. For more information, please view the map linked below.
