India Association of Tallahassee is planning to participate, like last yar, in the Springtime Tallahassee Parade. As one of the charter members of the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee (ACT: www.asiantlh.org) we will be marching along with other members of ACT as one group.
We need about dozen (10-12) members (men, women, children) for IATLH contingent wearing traditional Indian attire to take part in the parade. Please let me know whether you will be able to take part in the event. Family units are encourage to participate.
Since number of slots available are limited, we will be able to include those who respond the earliest (first come first served).
We will have to assemble around 8 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2009 near Sixth Avenue and North Monroe intersection (venue subject to change depending upon our placing in the parade) and the parade itself will start around 9 AM and go on until 12 noon.
Please consider the following before signing up. The walk will about 2 miles long, 4 hours in time, likely to be a hot day, and there won't be easy access to food or drink during the duration of the event (unless you bring it with you).
