Andy's Bat Mitzvah is this weekend, two weeks from now it's Thanksgiving, then Jeremy's birthday, and then the holiday parties and end-of-year travel kick in. If we're going to do a musicmaking, it's going to have to be on the last unoccupied Saturday of the year for us.
We're going to be exhausted, we're going to be disorganized, but we still want to see you and sing and celebrate with you. So please join us for the The Squeeze-it-in-Between Everything Else Greenwood Musicmaking on November 21st. We'll make merry and sing, as usual, "Badly, but with Enthusiasm".
We'll gather for music and potluck munchies/dinner at our customary time. The plan, as usual, is to hang out, nibble, play and sing until it's time to eat. Feed kids, play a little more, and go from there. And remember, you can always {come, leave} {late/early/whenever}. It's entirely freeform.
Email me with any questions!

What you need to do:
- think up some potluck-ish thing to bring (we'll make some sort of main dish)
- come, bring your kids, your partner, or anyone else you think might enjoy hanging out and singing with us (and yes, you should feel free to pass the invitation along)
- bring a song to share, a guitar/djembe/fiddle, any copies you have of Rise Up Singing
About Greenwood MusicmakingThis is, above anything else, a monthly chance to get together and celebrate with friends. Some people chat, some fuss in the kitchen, while as many as can/want to gather in the livingroom to play/sing anything that comes to mind.
The emphasis is on playing/singing songs that everyone can join in. It is most definitely not 'performance' - everyone is encouraged to play, clap and sing, no matter how well or badly you may think you do it. We usually draw on songs from "Rise Up Singing" for a common context, but will try any song known by enough people, or that's easy to teach (if there's something you'd like to teach, please bring photocopies!). People generally join in or drop out as dictated by whim, kids, or cookies from the oven.
