Get rid of your lawn yourself, and create a low maintenance, low water garden. Ever wondered how to keep your neighbors happy, quit wasting water, quit paying the mow-blow-go guy, and have some fun in your garden? Sheet mulch your lawn and plant a few mounds of earth with California Native Plants!
Presented by our very own Kat Weiss, Owner of Kat Weiss Landscape Design in Livermore, HMN Tri-Valley member and a Registered Landscape Architect in California.
MEMBERSHIP: This meeting is free for members, as well as for first time visitors to Tri-Valley HMN. If you’ve already been to an HMN meeting and would like to attend this meeting, please join our group!
CHILDREN: Children are welcome to our meetings and breastfeeding is encouraged! Please bear in mind, though that we often have guest speakers at our monthly meetings and need to provide an environment that allows for everyone to hear and be heard. If your child’s joyful noise is preventing others from hearing, we do ask that you step to the back or out of the room as need be.
SET UP AND CLEAN UP ANGELS NEEDED: We are requesting that every HMN member that attends meetings please sign up to set up or clean up after at least one meeting a year. Set up angels should arrive at 6:30pm; clean up angels will leave approx. 20 minutes after everyone leaves the meeting space (9:30ish). If you can help before or after this meeting, please indicate this on your socialzr evite response. Thank you.
