Our WAM!it up mixer is bringing together 50 to 100 of the areas media mavens as an opportunity to network and mingle. See old friends or make new ones.

We’re not having a centralized WAM! conference this year, because we’re busy launching a whole organization! But that won’t stop WAM!mers from WAM!ing. Instead, we’re putting together an exciting alternative. On the weekend WAM! would have been – March 25-28, 2010, we’re inviting you to our events in cities across the country and the globe!

  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • DC
  • Los Angeles
  • New York City
  • San Antonio <-- Hey that's us!

Who’s invited? Media producers, PR strategists, journalists, activists, academics, community organizers, feminists, funders and philanthropists, “citizen” media watchdogs, media policy advocates, alternative-network-builders, bloggers, writers, teachers, artists, technology trainers, cartoonists, dj’s...We want your involvement.

WAM! connects and supports media makers, activists, academics and funders working to advance women’s media participation, ownership and representation. Our work is framed as part of an advocacy movement for gender justice in media.
