I polled several people about the music. Lots of people liked it, a few thought it was too loud, I think placement of the musicians in front of the glass area was the wrong location. We tried to get one of the studios but it was booked. I will attempt to book the studio a year in advance at this time so we do not have the problem next year.

Agree with Dan that the food was excellent. The music was top notch but the volume overpowered the conversation. Budgets being what they are, I guess we got what we paid for out of the space. But trying to balance food and drink and having a conversation in a congested hallway really put a damper on the ability to enjoy the event and meet new people. Maybe a more open space next year for this event?

Join us on Wednesday, December 16th, as we celebrate the season and enjoy each other's company at our annual AIA-SWO holiday party. The Mid-Town Arts Center (home of the AIA-SWO office) is the venue. Good cheer, tasty food and egg nog will all be in plentiful supply. Entertainment will be provided by the splendid woodwind quintet, "No Strings Attached."

Our December AIA-SWO program sponsor is Herman Miller, the international leader in ergonomic chair design. The company has generously donated to our chapter one of its new Setu office chairs, which will become the property of the highest bidder in a silent auction at this year's party. The Setu only comes with one adjustment (height) as it features an innovative Kinematic Spine that allows it to naturally flex and bend with your every movement without any knob tweaking. The kinematic spine works together with a Lyris seating suspension material that conforms to your body’s contours while providing aeration and minimizing heat build-up. Proceeds from the auction will support AIA-SWO activities that benefit all members.Don't miss our holiday party!
