I am BRCA+ which predisposes me to both ovarian and breast cancer. I have already undergone a full oophorectomy (removal of my ovaries) and now it's time to do the mastectomy (removal of my breasts).

I am not sick nor have I ever been diagnosed with any cancers. These procedures are purely preventative since the risks are very high for myself, and the rest of the BELLAS, that are also BRCA+.

Having this foresight is almost like possessing a crystal ball and empowers us to change our destinies. Many women are unaware of this test or cannot afford to fund it-we must educate and help them. It could save their lives.
