The Baltimore Marathon Kids Final Mile Celebration will be held Saturday, May 8th at the Poly/Western High School track in Baltimore. The BRRC supports this program and encourages members to volunteer to help Marthon Kids conclude another successful year in Baltimore.

Marathon Kids is a thirteen year old school and community based program teaching fitness and nutrition to Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students. The centerpiece of the program is completion of 26.2 miles of walking or running during the 6 month program. Like a real marathon, the program only gives awards to those who complete the full distance.

Marathon Kids is free to all participants and is open to students from Baltimore City and Baltimore County public schools and private schools. To learn more, please visit marathonkids.org/.

Volunteers are needed to fill slots from 8AM until noon. There is also a need for "super volunteers" beginning at 6AM that can stay for most of the morning and oversee other volunteers.
