Once again, Doug and Carol Jackson have kindly offered to host our Holiday Party at their home on Queen Anne Hill. It will start at 6 PM so that there's time to enjoy a couple of "adult beverages" in the kitchen and in front of the fireplace before the stand-up, buffet dinner type event which can segue naturally into a gift-exchanging time.
Our hosts will be providing the main course, provide a couple of big bottles of wine (maybe in boxes!?) and several sixpacks of various types of soda pop with ice, with guests bringing salads, deserts and whatever special to drink things they'd like to share with the group
In a new peak of organization, we'll go by last name to make it easy: A-I, salads; J-R, desserts, and S-Z cheese, crackers and bread.
We also will be having our traditional gift exchange, with spirited rules for trading that I still have trouble getting straight, but always brings laughter to all. Please bring a Lotus-related wrapped gift in the $20-$30 range to add to the fun, and beware of the "Blue Bugatti", hiding under the tree and perhaps heavily disguised! Hope to see you there. Let's have some fun to end the year, with great hope for 2010!
