This presentation could change how you look at yourself. Key ideas, stories, questions and behavioral experiments provide an opening to experience mindfulness for oneself in this experiential, interactive presentation. What does it mean to be present? How do you access the past and the future in the present? What blocks presence? Who am I? What remains when you see your mind for what it is? Will Joel Friedman, Ph.D. is a seasoned licensed psychologist, who specializes in Presence-centered psychotherapy, addressing relationship issues, anxiety, depression and traumas through cognitive, systems, and mind-body approaches like EMDR. He is a stretch, not a shrink, and loves to facilitate sustained growth for an authentic, successful life. Please come join us for another enlightening gathering.MEMBERSHIP: This meeting is free for members, as well as for first time visitors to Tri-Valley HMN. If you've already been to an HMN meeting and would like to attend this meeting, please join our group!
CHILDREN: Children are welcome to our meetings and breastfeeding is encouraged! Please bear in mind, though, that we often have guest speakers at our monthly meetings and need to provide an environment that allows for everyone to hear and be heard. If your child's joyful noise is preventing others from hearing, we do ask that you step to the back or out of the room as need be.
SET UP AND CLEAN UP ANGELS NEEDED: We are requesting that every HMN member that attends meetings please sign up to set up or clean up after at least one meeting a year. Set up angels should arrive at 6:30pm; clean up angels will leave approx. 20 minutes after everyone leaves the meeting space (9:30ish). If you can help before or after this meeting, please indicate this on your evite response. Thank you.
