What is Networking? The United Way's Young Leaders Society of El Paso Texas is hosting a Turbo Networking Event. It is simply about talking to people and is reciprocal in nature. You exchange ideas, brainstorm about topics, give advice, and share business contacts. What you have to offer someone is just as important as what you hope to gain from a new business relationship. You have to give to get. Networking is about helping people, anticipating that you will also be helped.

How the business networking events work
Individuals attending the event will come from a variety of business backgrounds, all from the El Paso region. Participants will have between 5 to 7 face-to-face networking sessions during the event, each one lasting about 3 to 5 minutes. During each session, each person will share information about themselves, offer contacts, provide ideas and exchange business cards. Do you know someone that this person should talk to? Do they know someone that would be a great business contact for you? The table host will signal the end of each round and participants will then rotate to a new station. The process continues for about 30 minutes, with a short break in between sessions. Please bring plenty of business cards to share with new contacts!
