“Back to School: San Francisco State”
11:30 to 2:00 PM
Join with us on March 17th for this very exciting and different chapter adventure. Here is an opportunity to see and hear how property is used and accounted for in the world of academia, while working within an environment of state government regulations and fiscal challenges. This is a very good session for you to invite your other staff members and your supervisors to join us!
This very educational meeting and campus visit has been organized by BAC member Stan Pearse, CPPM of San Francisco State University. This information-packed session features:
- A special speaker from the campus concerning fixed assets from a business perspective
- A very interesting real life case study which the attendees will assist in resolving this property management challenge
- A tour of an on-campus research facility in the College of Science and Engineering
LOCATION:
Thornton Hall 10th Floor, Blakeslee Room
San Francisco State University
1600 Holloway Ave.
San Francisco, CA 94132
Information about Thornton Hall is available here: www.sfsu.edu/clickmap/thornton.htm

TRANSPORTATION: The chapter will organize car/van pools from a number of centralized Bay Area points. Locations and meeting times will be published in the very near future. If anyone would like to volunteer to drive, please contact Andy Anderson (acanderson1@earthlink.net) by March 12, 2010. Parking is available on campus at a central garage for $5.00. Public transportation options are readily available. BART, Muni, and SamTrans all have convenient routes and schedules. For detailed instructions, please visit www.sfsu.edu/~parking/directions/.
LUNCH: A hot buffet luncheon will be served compliments of the chapter; however, anyone who wishes to make a voluntary donation to help offset some of the costs would be greatly appreciated ($20.00 per person is suggested). The luncheon will be Paella with classic saffron flavored Spanish rice with chicken and seafood, or grilled top sirloin with peppercorn sauce. There will also be available a chef’s vegan option. Please let us know what you’d like as soon as possible so we can advise the food services organization.
