Celebrate the "Festival of Lights" at IATLH's Diwali Dinner Concert & Fundraiser. PLEASE JOIN US ON THIS OCCASION AND HELP US CELEBRATE DIWALI AND RAISE FUNDS FOR IATLH. Dinner will be served around 7.30 pm and the show will begin promptly at 8.30 pm.

Location: Ballroom on the second floor of the Oglesby Student Union @ FSU (adjacent to Moore Auditorium).

More about the performers:
Nibedita Chatterjee, has performed in a variety of cities across the U.S and Canada. For the past 20 years ,she has also been teaching vocal music. As a versatile singer, her specialities range from old and new Hindi songs ,ghazals, bhajans & a variety of Bengali songs. She was a recipient of the National Talent Search Scholarship at the age of 14, as well as achieving a Sangeet Visharad in vocal classical music.
A milestone came in 2001, when she sang several famous hindi duets with legendary artist, Manna Dey in Columbus,OH. Her superb performance exceeded the maestro artist's expectations as well as recieving high reviews published in an Indian newspaper. She was an invited artist to the Rotary International Club in 2002 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata along with performers like PT Ajoy Chakraborty, and Amita Dutt.
Nibedita has released two CD’s,one consisting of Bengali songs and the other appropriately titled “Chand khila tare hanse” consisting of popular Hindi film songs. During her visits in India, Nibedita performs on Kolkata TV and cultural programs.
Debu Nayak, a computer engineer by profession, is an accomplished soloist and accompanist tabla player. He has taken talims from Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Samir Chatterjee and has performed with many renowed artists. Recently his talents were featured in the CD Probe as he and other members of Probe performed at the Smithsonian Institute.
Pushan Bose started his professional career in music at the age of 20 after undergoing harmonium and vocal training from Pt. Debojyoti Bose and Jayanta Sarkar for 5 years. He started to play harmonium in Recording studio at the age of 22 and also composed music for television shows. He is also a regular performer in Tara Muzik (Indian Music channel). At present he resides in Washington DC and performs at various concerts either on vocals, keyboard or harmonium.
