This time at Anthony's Homeport Bar and Grill (lower level) in Des Moines. Outside seating overlooks the water, mountains, and the Des Moines Marina. It is a quieter atmosphere, with hopefully nice summer weather, and an extensive NW menu (with great seafood if you desire) with a great bar selection. Lower level bar area prices are more reasonable than the upstairs restaurant. And there is great parking for our cars!Before or afterwards, the location offers a great opportunity to take a walk and observe the various sea life, with your wife or significant other. Stroll next to the boats in the Marina down to a Boardwalk that juts out into the Sound.There are also several car shows at the Marina during the summer here, including the Italian Concours on Aug. 31st. Jon Shirley is a regular participant.Please remember, we are always taking suggestions for other possible Monthly meeting locations. This one happens to be in the southend (but only 15 minutes south of SmartyPants, using the Burien Freeway), so lets hear from people in the north, east, and west sides with your suggestions! We want everyone to have a turn with a convenient location, but you have to speak up.
