I guess this isn't technically a bug but it would be nice if you fixed it anyway.

I tried to import with CSV, of about 20 contacts only 2 made it in. I finally figured out the issue was that socializr though that any email address with trailing spaces in the field was not really an email address.

It would nice if you could fix that. CSV is the easiest way to get address off Evite and other sites that don't export since I can just copy and paste my list in to notepad and quickly edit it.

Thanks Gregg, this should be fixed now.

By the way, we also support direct import from Evite address book.

Thanks!

Just FYI, I wasn't importing from *my* address book. I was importing from a friends party (since the new party was for her). In that case importing an address book doesn't help.

I don't know if there is any way you can make that eaiser short of scraping the page which is no fun.

Sure, you could *export* the guestlist for that old event, then import that CSV file into Socializr, instead of scraping. Tue 11/18/08

I could just be dumb but I don't see any export option on evite for guest lists from old or new events. Tue 11/18/08

Found it! Never mind.

Though still, it has to be MY event. If the event belongs to someone else them I'm dependent on them to make that list for me which is kind of hard if you're planning a surprise party. ;-D
