Meetup.com does it. www.meetup.com/meetup_api/docs/#writemethods
Socializr should do it too. |

Hi Thomas,
The host can easily set/change guest responses. Just log in, go to the event page, click on 'manage guest list' in the right-hand host menu and on that page you can change any guests' responses. cheers, Boris |

Yes, but if I wanted to setup a personal frontend to Socializr, so users could RSVP without visiting the site, I can't |

We do currently have an api with which you can fetch event info: www.socializr.com/apidocs
however, the current version of the API does not yet support RSVPing. You can take a look at our developers page: www.socializr.com/developers to get an idea of what you can do today to integrate Socializr with your site and what's coming up in the future. Boris |

Yes, I've seen www.socializr.com/apidocs
I want to be able to setup a service which will RSVP for users so that they do not have to come to socializr, potentially so they do not have to have an account (I can pass along an e-mail perhaps?) in order to RSVP. The issue here is, meetup costs money, and I'd like to support other services such as socializr as a backend to another service. Meetup has a write api making this possible, but Socializr doesn't. I'm asking if a write API is coming. The page you mention, /developers, does not mention a future write API and suggests developers make new idea suggestions on the forums. It seems that we are stuck in a loop here, the developers page saying 'request new features on the forums' and the forums moderator saying 'we don't support it, check the developers page'. |

I mentioned that we do not YET support it. We are planning to expand our API, so stay tuned. We will post to this forum once new features are added. We appreciate and listen to any and all suggestions we receive via the forums.
Thanks for your feedback, Boris |
