I have an event set to private, but I want to invite a small mailing list that I manage. By enabling 'Invite Others', will multiple people be able to respond using the same link? Or does that just give invitees some ability at the Socialzr site to send the invite to someone new?
What I'm trying to accomplish is to send a single invite to my list and let anyone who wants RSVP. If I must, I can set the event to public or I can export the mailing list addresses and import to Socialzr. But I really just want a private event that doesn't appear in the public listings, but where anyone who gets the link can RSVP. |

Hi Tom,
Currently, the way to accomplish your goal is to make your event private, import your mailing list into Socializr, and then invite each person on the list. The only way to create a generic URL that anyone can use to RSVP is to make your event public. We're discussing a way around this, but it's not a feature yet. The 'Invite Others' option allows invited guests to invite additional guests. It won't make the RSVP links for your private event generic. Cheers, Larry |

Thanks for the quick response, Larry. I understand why it's that way -- it's not really a 'private' event if anyone who can get their hands on a URL can attend.
So when it's public, do I still need to generate an invite? Or can I give people the URL to the event page? |

For a public event you can just pass around the event page URL.
Anyone who has it will be able to do a 'walk up' RSVP. |
