I can't send my invite because it says I have exceeded the limit, but I only have 585 names - far less than the 1000 they say is the limit. How can I send my invite? Mon 10/12/09

Is the amount you already invited, plus the new amount, over 1000? Or have you invited over 500 people to another event? Or do you have a second event that same day with people invited? Tue 10/13/09

I was able to send out my invite this morning, but that still doesn't explain why I couldn't send it out last night. I had not already sent the invite out to anyone - it was keeping me from sending it out all together. The only thing I can think of is that I was trying to send out 2 different invites to the same group of people (584) around the same time last night. They were separate invites for separate events on separate dates, but to the same group of people. That meant I was sending to 1168 yesterday when you put the 2 together. Is that what caused it to block the 2nd one from sending? Tue 10/13/09

Yes, that's it. To prevent people from abusing the system to send spam, (i.e. by creating multiple events to get around the limits), you cannot send more than 1000 invites per day unless you have applied for a higher quota. Tue 10/13/09

Hi Jonathan, short question. So the quota is 1000 per day and 1000 per event. Correct? I had 954 people on the mailing list for our event but I sent the invite twice (thought it did not work the first time because I had a timeout error). So now I am at the limit, but still have an additional 30 people I need to invite. Will i be able to do this tomorrow? Or can you give me a higher quota?
Thx

You can apply for a higher quota at this page:

www.socializr.com/sendingoptions

If you have not yet sent 1000 today, you should be able to send the other 30. If not, you can send them tommorow as long as the event is not over 1000.

I tried to use that link to increase my sending limit, but all it did was ask me to update my mobile phone settings - I was never given the option to change my sending limit. I have 585 people on my list and I need to send multiple invites for the same date and time (different locations), but keep getting blocked from doing this since the total is greater than 1000. I even sent them on 2 different days, but I still was told I'm over my sending limit. What am I doing wrong? Tue 10/27/09

The default sending limit of 1000 per day (higher than Evite's) is working correctly. You may apply for a higher limit via that link, but it requires you to verify your phone # as part of that application process, to deter both abuse/spam from large senders as well as fraudulent applications. I applied for a higher sending limit weeks ago and have still never heard if I was granted this ability. Every week I do the same thing - send out 2 different invites (same event at 2 different locations) to the same group of people. 2 weeks ago I had no problems getting it to go through, but this week, I am once again blocked from sending the 2nd invite. What do I need to do in order to get my invites to go through? Mon 11/23/09
