Half the people I invite do not realize that they need to follow a link to RSVP. This could be because there is too much information in the invitation emails so that they don't have to click on the link--note that Evite only provides a link to the invitation with no event information. A change in design of the emails could help remedy this. Thu 5/31/07

Please don't change the information in e-mail. There are too many people I know that do NOT want to click on another link to reply. They would rather just hit reply in their e-mail browser. One of the reasons I joined and use Socializr is because of this particular feature. Please don't change it.

I agree with Nova -- don't change it! I hate how Evite emails don't tell you the date of the event. I can't tell you how many times people have said, 'I didn't realize your party was yesterday, I never opened the Evite.'

Socializr Team
Hey guys, we decided to give you the option.

As Wired Magazine wrote in January, 'Evite is great if you're gonna party like it's 1999 ? because that's where the site has been stuck for nearly a decade. An email arrives announcing a fete, but it's short on deets. You're forced to click to an ad-choked Web page, then another to RSVP, and then back to the first to see the info again.'

So the default on Socializr will continue be to include the event details.

However, as the even host, you can now select 'Yes' to 'Hide event details from invite email?' in the event options. (Click on 'More Options' in the Edit Event Info page.) If you select 'Hide event details from invite email?', the event date/time and address will not be included in the invitation emails. It's your choice.
