Several of my friends thought they had RSVP'ed not realizing that socializr makes you type in first and last names.
Is there any way to change this setting? I searched the forums and I'm definitely not the only one to complain about this. In some of the older post, the Socializr people said they were going to fix this problem. Did that ever happen? If not this really needs to be addressed. a) people shouldn't have to type in their first and last names. Evite doesn't force people to give out information if they don't want to. (i know you could fake your name, but why make it a prerequisite to RSVPing) b) if Socializr refuses to budge on the issue (which is weird. Why would you be so adamant about first and last names? It makes me wonder if this information is going to be sold to a third party or something but as I was saying...) if they won't budge on the issue they should at least correct their software so that it tells the user that their RSVP hasn't gone through if they haven't inputted their first and last names. As it stands now, you don't enter your name, you click 'attend' and you're whisked to a new page as if you'd registered. This site seemed very cool, but this is really basic. If this isn't fixed I don't see why I should quit using Evite. |

We have required the names at the request of event hosts who wanted this, but plan to make it an option. |

Melisa, could you please explain in a bit more detail what you mean by 'I noticed that some of my comments from guest alway show up as the host name' ? Thanks! |

| In the party 'A wanna' party, Where I made the invite, but put the host at kim hart, several comments came back saying they were all posted by her. When I spoke to her, they didnt. one guest put their own name in, but it shows it was posted by Kim...? |

Melisa, it looks like Kim forwarded her email invitation, with her personal invite link, to other people, instead of inviting them via Socializr so that they would receive their own invitaiton emails.
Those people then RSVPed as Kim, instead of clicking 'Please click here if you are not: Kim Hart'. |

Thanks Melissa! We think are making some further site changes to help people understand not to RSVP accidentally as someone else. Also, within a few days, guests will not have to enter their name to RSVP unless you as the host choose to require it, as an option. Please continue to provide us your feedback so we can continue to improve Socializr! thanks! |

I'm new to the site as well.. and would love to see the 'Last' name part of the RSVP be an option.. I won't keep using this site if it makes people put in their last names- I don't use mine so why should I make them use their's I mean I know who they are or I wouldn't be inviting them to go somewhere with me lol..
thanks! |

Hi Cheryl,
It is an option now, we already changed it. Last name is not required to RSVP unless you, as the host, set the 'Require first & last name to RSVP?' option to 'Yes'. It's your choice. |
