Hi,
I would like to ask if its possible to have a public event (one that anyone can view without a specific invitation) yet -not- display the guests lists of other people who have RSVP'ed (in essence, more of an RSVP service type invitation) ? thanks, justin |

I am also very interested in hiding the guest list on a public invitation. I've used evite for several years and would like to migrate to socializr as I love it. But, the lack of this feature is keeping me from doing that.
Thanks Ginger |

Hi Justin and Ginger,
Per your requests, this will be possible next week. |

This feature has been added -- you can have a public event with a private guestlist now. |

I manage a profile that is hosting a Public Event with a hidden guest list. I invited myself using another ID/email to make sure I could see what my guests were seeing. I RSVPed and everything has worked exceptionally well but...
I just noticed that when I went to change my RSVP response to the event it gave me the option to SEE the guest list (which worked). Was this route into the guest list overlooked when you added the private guest list feature? |

David, please make sure you aren't still logged in as the host of the event. |

That was the first thing I checked when it happened. I just logged on & off as the host. Then logged on as the guest and was still able to see the guest list.
I also checked that no other email's were included in the host profile. Suggestions? David |

When you say 'it gave me the option to SEE the guest list', can you please explain in more detail what you saw and what you did? |

Not to be confusing but I am sending this response from the host profile.
From a 'Guest' Profile viewing the invitation it says: RSVP Your Response has been posted: YES (shared with friends) 'The Guest List has not been published for this event'. When I chose the option 'Change My Response' I select RSVP and it takes me to a confirmation page stating my response has been posted. 5 buttons on the bottom of this screen. Invite More People / View Guest List / View Event / Add to Calendar / Change Response When 'View Guest List' is selected I can see all the guest tabs Yes / Maybe / No / Not Responded I can select each tab and it shows the list of Guests for each category. It does not allow me to manage the list or see any actual email addresses, just first and last names. I am accessing the site from the same computer but I am certain that in the top right corner it has my 'Hello David' profile logged on and not the host profile for the event. If you like I can invite you to the event and see if you can see what I see as a guest. David |
