Right now there is no way to add a guest without inviting that guest. But sometimes I want to work on the guest list while working on the invite, back and forth. This feature would need support like, 'send invites,' which would send invites only to not-yet invited guests. Thu 4/23/09

I completely agree! It would be nice to be able to build the guest list and then send the invitation to everyone at once! Tue 8/11/09

 You can create unlimited lists in your Address Book if you want to work on a list of people that you are not inviting to anything just yet. Wed 8/12/09
