Just thinking aloud here... in my list of external events, I see a lot of things that I frankly have no interest in. I've used your filters to say, for example, only show me events where at least 2 friends have RSVP'd, in the next 7 days, with a limit of 5 events. I have several Facebook friends on the opposite end of the country, and their events are the ones I see most often. But those events are not very relevant for me, as I usually am not located anywhere near them.
I'm trying to think of an easy way to add some kind of filter, based on data that you could actually access. Ideally it might be location-based (say, within 90 miles of a certain zip code). Then again, people don't always add a location to Facebook events. Another thought... give me a way to exclude certain Facebook friends (or a particular Facebook group, even.) Or, conversely, give me a way to only show Facebook events in my Facebook network (or from a particular Facebook group.) Just thinking out loud! |
