Meet, Drink & Be Merry was founded in January 2006 to grow a network of free thinking, fun loving Washington, DC residents. The community has flourished thanks to the group?s participants and now has more than 700 members with new people joining every month.
The group meets on the second Wednesday of every month, choosing a new bar and a new charity each time. By donating $10 to the charity at the door you will be helping worthy causes achieve their goals. When possible, Meet, Drink & Be Merry will work with bars/venues to provide drink discounts or other special offers. Donations are optional, but highly encouraged. If everyone gives a little, we can make a big difference!!!
Meet, Drink & Be Merry is not affiliated to the Monterey Institute of International Studies in any way, shape or form. Not that we don't like the Monterey Institute, we do, but they are in Monterey and we are in DC and we have moved on. It was a great two years but that's it. Of course MIIS people are still welcome to join the fun. We are just saying we want to see other people too.
