Our next dinner meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2008 from 6pm until 9pm at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Clara. Networking starts at 6pm with the dinner at 6:45pm.

TOPIC: "A day in a life of a CFO"

SPEAKER: Bob Myers, CFO

Bob Myers, has over 35 years experience in corporate accounting, planning and financial management.  Bob currently serves as CFO for Acorn Product Development, Inc a mechanical engineering design services company located in Fremont, CA.  Prior to that he was CFO of Symmorphix, Inc a nanotechnology and semi-conductor equipment manufacturing company in Sunnyvale, CA.  During a 15 year career at VeriFone, Inc he headed the annual planning function, new product divisions and served as assistant corporate controller. Other earlier experiences included work at a number of companies serving a variety of industries, including semi-conductors, winery, publishing, professional engineering services, equipment manufacturing and biotech. He received an MBA from Golden Gate University in 1986 and a BS in Business Administration/Accounting from San Jose State University in 1972.

Reservations are requested by noon on Friday, June 20th by Evite or on the chapter voice mail at 408-235-0828.

Remember that vegetarian meals must be reserved and will not be offered to walk-in attendees or any reservations made after noon Friday, June 20th. While walk-ins are expected, the Teriyaki Steak may not be available to all walk-ins as the catering staff may not have enough of the menu selection on hand to accommodate a large number of walk-ins. In cases where the menu selection is not available, substitutions will be made by the catering staff.

The cost is $35 for members and students and $45 for guests. Guests paid for by a member will be charged member rates. Members, who are reserved by permanent list, call-in, or Evite, will be billed $35 for no-shows if they are unable to cancel prior to noon on Friday, June 20th, 2008.
