"Multicultural Presentations are a signature BRIDGE community event. BRIDGE selects a specific local population in the Berkshires and we center an event on the food and culture of that group. The goal is to have these factions of our community intermingling and sharing nurturance and personal experience bridging cultural gaps and building community at the same time. The presenters prepare food specific to their culture and provide cooking demonstrations or cooking classes for the local community. In addition, a presentation of a cultural, historical, or political aspect of their culture is shared by dance, art, craft shows, and/or a lecture. Over the last 20 months, BRIDGE has provided 20 multicultural presentations including Colombian, Mexican, Thai, Indian, Burmese, Middle Eastern, Congolese, African American, Native American, New England and many more."
